In front of the Logan Pass Visitor Center |
We arrived
to a beautiful day with temps in the 60's and hardly any breeze
blowing. We went into the Visitor's Center. It is always
knowledgable and it was already crowded!!
Charley's not too sure of this cold white stuff! She is a Florida Girl, you know!! |
We took Charley for a walk
on the glacier ice. This area is one in which you are up close to
the ice packs. It was a great day to sit on the low stone wall
surrounding the parking lot and have lunch. Lots of others were
doing exactly that too.
We looked up at the mountains and saw a Mountain Goat way up high.....you had to have binoculars to see him.
White spot 1000' above us |
Zoomed in with editor |
We watched him walk down the mountain from nearly the top to about
halfway down. Then he walked very slowly horizonally across the
rocks. What a sight to behold during lunch.
After that the rest of
the day seemed ho hum! On our way back to camp we did stop off at a
picinic area we wanted to have Charley run in the open field....but
there was nowhere for us to sit, all the tables in the area were
taken. Oh well, it was a great day.
