Sunday morning....May 15th. What a lousy start to the day! Rain, high winds and we needed to retrieve the motorhome from storage. Our thoughts were if we wait, maybe the rain will let up and it will probably be easier driving. Finally the weather maps looked like we might have a nice day ahead of us. We store our motorhome about 30 miles away. It is an easy trip in nice weather....but the tropical force winds we were having, well let's just say it is much nicer to drive a big rig when the sky's are clear and there is no rain. We finally got the motorhome to our home address so we could start loading. We pluged the motorhome into electrical power and we started cooling the fridge down and got the a/c on. From here on out.....it requires many trips into the home and back to the motorhome. But the skies have turned blue and we have our famous severe weather...severe clear that is.
Monday morning we finally got the last of our items loaded. Remember we will be gone at least three months, maybe longer. It does require some advanced planning. Our community here in Florida only allows us to have the motorhome at our residence for two consecutive nights, so we try and minimize our packing ahead of time. We are finally getting anxious for our trip...tomorrow we leave for Gafney, S.C. Will blog later.

hmmmmm, you haven't blogged in a long time. Are you still in MI??? BTW, thanks for the compliment, Tom but I didn't think I looked very good in that picture. Meg took it with her iphone. She headed out to the Grand Canyon with a group of her friends to hike to the bottom of the cayon and she's afraid of heights!!! I'm worried...
