Cape Cod, Hyannis Port & Plymouth, Mass

Wednesday today we were going to leave....but Nancy wanted to try another day at the Cape. The sun was shining and it was to be a warm and sunny day...maybe a small shower late in the day. Not wanting to leave Charley, the cocker spaniel, another day we all headed out for the day. Driving to Cape Cod only takes a couple of hours from where we are parked.
We find a couple of Harley shops: I can't understand why we have a hard time finding light colored tee shirts? Harley shops all seem to carry a large selection of dark shirts, not so many light colored shirts. We did manage to find a couple of light colored tee shirts for Tom, and even a shirt for Nancy!

We drove to Hyannis Port and actually found the Kennedy compound. We walked the
beach and got really close. Charley loved all the attention she received while walking on the beach. Hyannis Port is really not a very large place, but it is always fun to look at the lifestyles of the rich and famous!Cape Cod is much larger than I thought it was. The bridges to get out on the Cape were both built at the some time between 1933 and 1935. All the bridges here on the east coast are very high, I suppose for ocean freighters to get under. After finding someplace for lunch we headed to Portsmouth,
Massachusetts.
We arrived, found parking and then the "rock"

and a replica, the Mayflower II.
Took photos and thought of Emily our oldest grand-daughter. Emily loves history and this would be great place for her to visit.
The day was lots of fun and Charley loved being with us, instead of being left alone in the motor home.
